Champollion: We already have qemu, but it is far too slow to be usable.
GNUstep ABI compatibility with Mac OS X: This would be nice and theoretically it could work. But the WINE project has been doing the same thing for Windows for 10 years are only just about to release version 1.0. How much work would it be to do the same for Mac OS? And is it worth doing? There is a lot of proprietory Windows software that makes WINE worth doing. Linux software is all open source and can simply be re-compiled on Windows so binary compatability for Linux is not worth doing. (Indeed Linux doesn't even bother with binary compatability between distros) Mac OS is somewhere in between - it has some propreity software - but it's mainly open source now as well nowadays.
